The best 64-bit era throwback game in recent memory is coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Corn Kidz 64 is a weirdly awesome game with that feeling of playing on an actual N64 console. It was created and released by BogoSoft in October 2023 on Steam and now it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch. And let me tell you, I’m excited about this one!
The game follows Seve, a one-horned Goat on his crazy and bizarre adventure. Story description on Steam:
Seve the one-horned goat has the same recurring dream every night. His friend Alexis is determined to break him free but they must first deal with an issue plaguing the nearby palindrome-themed town of Wolloh’s Hollow.
So yeah. It sounds goofy as heck. But I like goofy games. I love to replay some platforming classics from time to time (Conker, Banjo, Spyro, etc.) So if you’re into some classic 3D platforming from the 64-bit era you’ll feel right at home with this title.
Corn Kidz 64 releases on April 19th on the Nintendo Switch. The game will support the Classic N64 Controller for the Switch as confirmed by Diplodocus Games on X:
And the best part is, it’s only 6.99$. Maybe we don’t have that many first party releases on the Switch lately, but great games still release on it. Let’s wake up some nostalgic feeling and play a cool platformer.
