This year’s Gamescom opening event had lots of games, DLCs, gameplays and a few surprises. Here are all of them.
The Gamescom 2024 has arrived with a big Opening Night Live presentation hosted by Geoff Keighley. Without further ado, let’s get to the announcements.
Preshow
ONL event was proceded with a 30-minute preshow, which gave us these announcements:

Opening Night Live
Now for the main event. Here’s everything announced at this year’s Gamescom opening event:
Borderlands 4 – teaser trailer
After a disasterous Borderlands movie we get a teaser trailer for the next game in the series. Not much more to say here, as we only got a new logo. Let’s hope it delivers and wait for a more fleshed out trailer.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 – gameplay trailer
Black Ops 6 got a new trailer showing the Most Wanted mission from the single player campaign. Good to know the series still has the single-player campaign. Let’s hope it will deliver more than the MW3 campaign. The Xbox users who happen to be fans of the series will be happy to know the game is launching day one on Game Pass.
Goat Simulator Remastered – reveal trailer
Now for the trailer you didn’t know you wanted, not really. I don’t even know why this exist, but we are getting a Goat Simulator Remastered. But I will give credit where credit is due, the trailer is pretty hilarious.
Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis – reveal trailer
Joker, a Persona 5 character is joining the game in the latest episode of the expansion pass for the Persona 3 Reload.
Dying Light: The Beast – reveal trailer
The zombie slaying parkour simulator gets a brand new game. New Dying Light looks fun as always. We got a few bits of gameplay in the trailer, so, even though we did not get the release date, I would assume a 2025 launch, but we shall see.
Black Myth: Wukong – launch trailer
This Chinese mythology inspired action RPG got a final launch trailer last night. The game is getting ridiculously high rating on Steam and great reviews. Nothing more to say than, go and play the darn thing.
DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO – game trailer
Bandai Namco prepared a cool trailer to remind you of the game’s release in 50 days.
King of Meat – reveal trailer
A four player co-op dungeon crawling 3D action game? Say no more, I’m in. King of Meat looks like a fun game to relax with after a long day at school or work.
Lynked: Banner of the Spark – reveal trailer
Lynked is a roguelike set in the distant future of the year 3000. It’s very colorful and action packed. At least in the trailer. We will see when the game releases on Steam. Early access start on October 22, 2024.
Lost Records: Bloom and Rage – reveal trailer
This story driven spooky game follows a group of four friends and looks quite similar to Life is Strange. It will be divided into two episodes. The rist on will launch 2.18.2024 and the second 3.18.2024.
No More Room in Hell 2 – reveal trailer
Imagine Left 4 Dead, but a bit more scary than action, and with 8 players in co-op. Not too much was shown in the trailer, so hard to tell how fun this could turnout to be. But I like the idea.
Arc Raiders – teaser trailer
A short and not very revealing teaser for the third person survival shooter from Embark Studios. They could show us much more, since the game seems very promising And we’ve been waiting for it a while now.
Infinity Nikki – game trailer
The new trailer for Infinity Nikki, a Japanese action RPG with elements of fashion and photography, looks absolutely adorable. I can’t wait to see it in action.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
A short reminder, that the game is coming out soon. September 9th to be exact. From what we’ve seen in the gameplay reveals so far, it will be a hit.
Predecessor – launch trailer
Predecessor is a fast paced and action packed third person hero shooter with elements of MOBA. The game is ready for you to play as we speak.
Path of Exile 2 – release date trailer
A sequel to the “free Diablo” is coming in November, finally. Well, the early acces, that is. It’s still baffling to me, that such a great game is free to play. Can’t wait.
Dune: Awakening – game trailer
A brand new trailer for the MMO set in the fascinating world of Dune. If you loved the books, the movies, or both, you might be interested in this one.
Reanimal – reveal trailer
The creators of Little Nightmares 1&2 give us a next promising title with Reanimal. The atmosphere in this trailer is phenomenal. This is for all the spooky season people out there.
Genshin Impact – game trailer
The new Genshin trailer introduces a new region of Natlon. The game also finally comes to Xbox (and Game Pass). Switch port is still nowhere to be found.
Monster Hunter Wilds – gameplay trailer
This latest trailer shows us more monsters, fighting and locations you will find in the next Monster Hunter game. As always, the series brings us fantastic new trailer, for what I hope to be, a fantastic addition to the series.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves – gameplay trailer
The beloved fighting series gets a brand new trailer showing of mechanics and characters of the game. SNK also released another trailer after the Gamescom event, which is very much worth your time.
Mechabreak – game trailer
In this new trailer we get a ridiculously action packed gameplay of the 6v6 Mecha Mayhem mode. This is what I’m talking about. I’m looking forward to this and Gundam Breaker.
Monument Valley 3 – reveal trailer
A sequel to the great puzzle-solving title is here. The game looks beautiful and I hope for lots and lots of awesome gameplay and puzzles.
Civilization VII – gameplay trailer
This trailer is like a nostalgic trip for any fan of the series. I love that RTS games are making a comeback. Don’t forget the Age of Mythology remake too!
Starfield: Shattered Space – reveal trailer
Starfield fans are getting a new vehicle to traverse planets, which for some reason took almost all of the trailer’s real estate. And a new expansion, I guess.
Marvel Rivals – gameplay trailer
This new trailer for the Marvel Rivals brings us more gameplay and classic heroes. The game looks like lots of fun and will be free to play, so no reason not to check it out.
Secret Level – animated series trailer
Creators of Love, Death and Robots bring us a new animated series inspired by video games. Cool.
Ageof Mythology: Retold – gameplay trailer
Speaking of awesome RTS games. Like I said, a remake of Age of Mythology is coming very soon, and I counl not be more excited. Check out the new gameplay trailer.
Towerborne – gameplay trailer
This fantasy themed beat ’em up is getting a new gameplay trailer. I very much like the idea of this game. A breath of fresh air in the pile of unoriginality In the industry.
Delta Force: Hawk Ops
Ok. Did the developers want to mix every FPS game into one. Because Delta Force seems like a weird experiment. It’s like putting Call of Duty, Valorant, Battlefield and Counter Strike together. Let’s see what we will get here.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II – gameplay trailer
Oh man. How excited I am for this game. In this new trailer we get a look at some gameplay footage. If it plays how it looks, we are in for a great time with this game.
Zenless Zone Zero – game trailer
Something for the fans of Genshin and the whole Hoyoverse. A new look at a new region for the game, New Eridu.
Honkai Star Rail – game trailer
Yet another Hoyo title makes its way to Gamescom. In this new trailer we are introduced to a new character, General Feixiao, plus a collab with Fate Stay Night.
Batman: Arkham Shadow – gameplay trailer
The next Batman: Arkham game is a vr title, which dissapointed many fans, to say the least. Now we get a gameplay trailer and it looks pretty cool. While you may question the decision to make this game for vr, it will give you a new perspective on Batman games. I’m all for it.
Little Nightmares 3 – reveal trailer
If you got excited for Reanimal, you will love the reveal of a sequel to Little Nightmares. The spooks are of the charts today.
Herdling – reveal trailer
An adorable looking game about taking care of a herd of yak looking creatures from the creators of Far: Lone Sails.
Masters of Albion – reveal trailer
The creator of such hit classics as Black & White, Dungeon Keeper and Fable, Peter Molyneux greeted the stage at Gamescom to introduce his next game, Masters of Albion, which he worked on for the past three years. It looks like a love letter to all those classic RTS and adventure titles. Might not be suited for the younger players, but the veterans will love it.
Squid Game: Unleashed – reveal trailer
This is basically Fall Guys in the Squid Game universe. In this multiplayer action-survival game you will be tasked with surviving many trials thrown at you. Many of them come streight from the Netflix series.
Unknown 9: Awakening – game trailer
Astral project yourself, fight your enemies and discover a hidden dimension of The Fold. Very interesting game if you ask me. Looking forward to checking it out.
Arena Breakout: Infinite – reveal trailer
A tactical shooter, which looks to be inspired by Rainbow Six titles. If it’s fun, I don’t mind having another such game.
Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred – game trailer
A look at new characters, some story and a bit of gameplay for the new expansion for Diablo IV.
The First Berserker: Khazan – reveal trailer
Intense combat and action are what you will find in this celshaded hack’n’slash with RPG elements. I really like the artstyle and combat mechanics in this trailer. Cool game in the making hopefully.
Ara: History Untold – game trailer
A new trailer for Ara, which comes this September. Once again, I love the amount of RTS gaming we get this year. It’s awesome.
Dark and Darker Mobile – reveal trailer
A trailer for the mobile game based on the PC hit.
Floatopia – reveal trailer
Shortly, a mix of Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, with like 90% of Animal Crossing, it seems. But it does look super cute, so I won’t mind checking it out.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle – game trailer
A look at some new gameplay of the Indy game narrated by Troy Baker, who plays the titular archeologist. And a release date of December 9th, 2024.
Mafia: The Old Country – teaser trailer
A beloved gangster story is getting another sequel. The fourth game in the Mafia series gets a short teaser trailer. The game will take us to 1900s Sicily into the very beginnings of the Italian mafia. Seems very promising, hope to see more soon.
Summary
Lots and lots of trailers on the Opening Night Live at Gamescom. I wonder what else they have in storage for us.
