The creators of Baldur’s Gate 3 don’t seem to slow down, as they open a new facility in Warsaw, Poland.
Larian Studios shook the gaming world with their latest game. The new Baldur’s Gate title took the industry to a new level, showing developers around the world how to make a proper RPG. Not only that, a proper video game.
With Larian now becoming one of the biggest Indie Developers around (yeah, it sounds funny to call them Indie), they want to keep up their tempo and even dial it up a bit. Last month we learned the Belgian studio is working on two new ambitious RPG games. And now we have the information about their seventh studio opening in the heart of the Polish gamedev industry.
First of all, it is awesome to see Larian growing. Their latest game and media presence got me confident to say they’re the best game developer on the market right now. It seems too good to be true with these guys, but they do provide the best experience in gaming, if you ask me.
And to know they open their new branch in Warsaw is another great news. Polish game developers became well known in the industry and outside of it for their work on series like The Witcher, Dying Light and Dead Island. Polish people know how to make a good game and I’m glad they can add more of their experience to Larian’s talented teams.
Larian Studios currently has seven studios, working in different time zones to maximize the efficiency of their work. Pretty neat idea actually. The developer already hires around 300 people, with more on the way with their newest studio. They are hiring right now, so if you’re a developer in Warsaw, you might be interested in sending your resume.
As of now, Swen Vincke, Larian’s boss, shared that Larian Studios is working on two new RPG titles. And for a long time, that will be all we know about their newest games. All I can say is I’m confident they’ll do a great job and provide us with two great games. Can’t wait to see what they’re cooking.
