Creatures of Ava, Crash Bandicoot, and Mafia join the Xbox Game Pass family.
Game Pass is full of incredible games. I’m always in awe checking the full list of available titles. The only problem I have with this service is the lack of time to check it all out. Now Xbox users get even more great games. The three new titles are Creatures of Ava, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, and Mafia: Definitive Edition. If you’re not familiar with these, I’m here to brief you.
Creatures of Ava – available August 7
In this beautifully crafted action-adventure game you play as Vic, who is tasked with cleansing the planet Ava from the infection destroying the whole world. You’ll traverse the colorful world and rescue titular creatures you meet on your way.
On your journey, you’ll find diverse environments in which you’ll find infected animals. What I like about this game is, you don’t kill your opponents, but rather cure them from the disease. After doing so, you can use your flute to tame the creatures, who will help you progress further.
The game takes about 10-15 hours, so it’s perfect for killing some boring evenings or rainy weekends. Worth checking out, big time.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy – available August 8
Crash trilogy is one of the most well-known classics in gaming history. The games originally released on Playstation 1, are now available on all platforms in a new remade package.
In this action-adventure trilogy, you control Crash and plow through fast-paced stages and boss fights to defeat Cortex, our main bad guy. These games provide a great classic action experience for both veterans replaying a game from their childhood and newcomers getting to know Crash for the first time. After you beat the trilogy, you can check out the fourth game, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.
Activision took their time in remaking not only this trilogy but also Crash Team Racing and Spyro the Dragon trilogy. All of them are simply fantastic And hopefully coming to Game Pass as well.
Mafia: Definitive Edition – available August 13
Another classic game remade for a new generation of players. Mafia follows the story of Tommy Angelo, an Italian cab driver in the fictional city of Lost Haven in the state of Illinois in the USA in the 1930s. Tommy gets entangled with the Salieri crime family, which places him in the middle of the gangster underworld.
The game is a remake of a 2002 game. Both the original and the remake are oozing the atmosphere of the 1930s USA, like we know it from the Hollywood gangster movies. It’s an open world third person shooter full of missions, shootings and car chases. It might remind you of Grand Theft Auto or Godfather games a bit. And if you liked both, especially The Godfather, but haven’t checked Mafia yet, I think you’ll love it.
While we still wait a few days for Mafia, we can enjoy both Creatures of Ava and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.
