Reddit users shared, that Warhorse Studios will give them Kingdom Come: Deliverance II for free for their generous Kickstarter support of the original game.
In the age of squeezing every last cent out of our wallets by the biggest in the gaming business, Warhorse Studios decided to follow a very different approach. Selected backers from the first game’s Kickstarter campaign, which took place 10 years ago, received emails from the studio, informing them of their gift and giving a choice of the platform they would like to get the sequel for.
The exact people who will receive Kingdom Come: Deliverance II for free, are the backers who chose the option with “Act II inclusion”. Initially the first Kingdome Come game was supposed to be about 20h long and the developer promised “Act II”, more content for the game, for the biggest donors.
In the meantime the game grew exponentially, exceeding the expectations and the announced Acts never saw the light of the day. That’s why Warhorse Studios decided to give something back to the players who believed in their passion project and backed them generously, whilst not receiving exactly what was promised. Of course, players got much more than anticipated, don’t get me wrong.

This is an awesome move by the developer. Many of the backers already paid enough for two or even three games like Kingdom Come. That why Warhorse Studios have my biggest respect. Players give you something, so you give something back. I understand, that gaming is a business first and foremost, but to show some heart and grattitude for the people who made your dream possible is a very noble thing to do. The developer shows us they care very much for their craft and their fanbase. I wish them a very financially successful game and years of fruitful work.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is an action RPG following the story of Henry, a blacksmith son from the Kingdom of Bohemia, in the 15th century, on a quest to avenge his parents murder. The game will definetly feature an incredible story, and action packed gameplay. The title is set to release in 2024.
